Maximum Performance & Reducing Risk of Injury
This week on Krush Performance, I looks at ways to help you reduce your risk of injury while at the same time improving your in game performance.
Injuries are the number one reason athletes do not reach their potential. Is it possible that anxiety and stress, coping strategies and mindset impact your risk of injury, the severity of your injury, and maybe even your recovery time? Well, the research says yes and not just a little bit. We’re talking up to a 50% decrease in injuries for at risk players.
We tell you all about it with Dr. Martin Mrazik and we discuss what you need to be thinking about when you are laying out your Performance Plan.
Let us know and if you have any questions, comments, smart remarks, or a topic you would like us to investigate let us know we may dedicate a segment or even an entire show to your topic.

The Gate Keepers of Sport & New Hockey Tech
This week on Krush Performance, I take a good look at the importance of creating opportunities for upcoming talent to compete, develop and showcase themselves to the decision makers and gatekeepers of sport, the Scouts. It is critical to be ready to go and to impress the scouts but you cannot focus on being perfect. The main goal is to impress with progress and show them you are willing, able, and dedicated to getting better and the doors of opportunity will open.
I talk with Bob Greene, the Director of Player Personnel for the Edmonton Oilers, about what the pro teams and scouts are looking for in young players.
Also, as the hockey season approaches, I will take a look at one of our favorite topics, technology in sport. I am going to the experts down at United Sport & Cycle to check out the new equipment and new technology that is now available, pushing player performance, and the sport of hockey forward.

MLB Mid-Season, Player Development, Throwing Velocity, & A Bat That May Help Us Reduce Injuries
The MLB All-Star Game mirrored what has been happening in baseball:

Also, I have been looking forward to this for some time. Finally, reducing injuries is a top priority in our programs, anytime we come across something that may help us in this department we are all in and Easton has a new bat that may just do this! We talk with Easton Rep. Scott Stevenson about new technology and one of sports most simple tools. How can the baseball bat get better?
